So Much for “Don't Be Evil!” Google Takes to the On-Line Content Censorship Game!

Many internet users may or may not have noticed some deceivingly minor changes taking place on-line, which in fact represent a major shift in policies, direction, and claimed moral righteousness of some of the most popular operating platforms and Internet Service Providers. The most notable of these internet giants making extreme and highly controversial policy changes is none other than Google. “Google holds a staggering 67.6 percent of the U.S. search engine market share (tying their own record, which was set in January of this year), according to the latest search engine market share figures for April, released by comScore. Bing remained a distant second with 18.7.” Figures from: (https://searchenginewatch.com/sew/study/2345837/google-search-engine-market-share-nears-68 ) The fact that Google and its combined services alone represent something in the ballpark of 68% of the internet, means that when Google shifts policies (Especially towards such a negative trend), most other ISP’s and then even the social networks like Facebook follow suit.

The reason why other ISP’s and search engines follow suit, is if for no other reasons than when Google shifts its massive 68% of internet ownership and usage, other companies may claim to merely be following the majority or the industry leader. One may debate the business logic and strategy in doing so, however this sort of follow the leader styled internet really becomes an issue when that leader goes from righteous and benevolence to tyrannical dictator. Unfortunately, this is the present-day case in point, and Google may no longer claim with a straight face that it is not evil.

These seemingly subtle changes to your internet experience comes to us, as so much tyrannical evil often does in our modern age, in the form and under the guise of being for our protection and safety. By now it should be obvious to any one whom cared to pay attention that this new great evil Google has shifted almost the entirety of the internet towards is of course content censorship!

“Wait…. Isn’t Google the company that initially refused to do business in China, because the Chinese government wanted to censor the web experience and information gathering abilities of its citizens?” An excellent point and example of just how incredibly far from its “fight the power” roots and famed goodness Google has decided to stray. Apparently Google, unlike only the most legendary of mortals to be revered, has decided as all tyrants usually do when freedom fighter goes to ruling party in power that maybe censorship isn’t so bad, when they are the ones doing the censorship. It is with that literal state of mind then, whether they admit it to themselves (let alone the general public) or not, which Google has taken upon itself to get into the content censorship game.

You may find the new Google content policies enforced by its new “Trust and Safety” officers, and the changes to Googles terms of use and privacy policy online.

What’s a “Trust and Safety Office,” it’s Google double-speak for censorship. This in of itself speaks to the fact that Google is aware of the sinister undertones of what it has begun doing, in that they feel a need to flower-up and make sound benign that which they are doing. However, don’t get it twisted, what this office is created to do, and literally what it does is troll the internet for “offensive material” or websites being offered on Google search engines, and quite literally then censoring that website or material by removing it from Google search. Yes, that is literally what they do, and yes they really exist!

The entire exercise is a seemingly intelligence test for the American consumers, which almost 99% of whom failed as they cheer on and agree with every other moron whom is ignorant of the much bigger picture that Google should take down the website of your local Neo-Nazi group, stop on-line blog bullying (Which is “bullying” apparently with words only, if you can believe the current pusification of our nation. Your common place wedgy now having been elevated and re-classified as no less than sexual assault.), along with the removal of all other forms of filth, hate, bigotry, or zealotry found to be possibly offensive towards any one whom goes about trying to seek out such filth out on-line, by the newly established Google Trust and Safety or Mediation Office. Call it what you will, but what it is is censorship.

This is part of the problem with entitlement. When one feels entitlement, they believe and feel they need not tolerate the opinions or actions of others. They begin to believe that the mere fact that those ideas, groups, opinions, and/or people that they find offensive to have a platform or actually exist in a place where any and all may easily seek out those ideas, people, opinions, or activities (AKA The Internet), to be a situation so intolerable that they are willing in fact demanding that their rights to free speech be taken from them and by that extension you and me.

See, what these self-entitled, intolerant individuals, possessing the intelligence of your common house plant, are insisting occur due to their stunted and warped sense of liberty and equity is that ISP’s should seek out and take down websites that this immoral band of chickenshits believe to be offensive or have the possibility of hurting peoples feelings. In Googles case, as the owner of YouTube, it means the censorship of videos and other content. Of course, people’s blogs, and their social media accounts are all now to be rated PG-13 if even that. All of this is of course for our own protection. It’s so we don’t become victims, of whom exactly I nor those demanding censorship are quite sure… But damnit-all, they’re not going to be victims!

What’s so ironic of course is that they, and now we, all are of course now actually all victims of their stupidity and short-sightedness. We are all made poorer and a bit dumber by any sort of censorship, or scrubbing of ideas, speech, or rhetoric. What’s truly fascinating about their perverse notions of justice, liberty, and equity, which is on par with that usually espoused by dictatorial despots, is their complete inability to appreciate just how slippery that slope truly is.

Step one is to of course get everyone used to the idea of censorship. It starts off seemingly reasonable enough, after all every one can agree that the local neo-Nazi group website with the “Kill all darkies!” slogan emblazoned across the front page of their website is highly offensive, is of benefit to none, and should therefore be taken down or disallowed the use of the internet, right? Hell, even I would find the idea of censoring such filth attractive at first glance.

So, OK let’s take that down today. Then you know… Some people really have an issue with abortion. Maybe we don’t need any websites that explain or give medical facts about what an abortion is, or how they’re performed. After all, sounds pretty gruesome, right? I mean just suck the unborn baby out of a woman’s vagina. What did that baby ever do to anyone, other than have the misfortune of being conceived by an irresponsible mother? So, yeah. Let’s do away with abortion websites as well.

Then a little bit later, you know what Donald Trump is really offensive to a great many people. Let’s protect the American people from him as well, and so now we’re going to censor some of his more radical speeches. I mean why not… He’s offensive right? He pisses a certain minority of the public off to no end. So, it’s best to keep everyone safe from him as well.

What’s that Jews? Christmas bugs the hell out of you? You got it… No more websites or any internet content having to do with Christmas either. After all, we can’t let anyone have access to things that others find offensive. We don’t want any one to feel victimized after all. Porn? Gone! You want to jerk it buddy? Well, you’re just going to have to put on some sun-glasses, a hat, and hope no one recognizes you as you do the pervert walk of shame up to the register to buy your nudy magazine from your local smut peddler, just like grand-daddy had to do back in his day. Why? Because porn objectifies women, and we won’t have any victims in this country damnit!

While we are at it… We all know the planet is only 4,000 years old, and came into existence when God said let there be light, right? How offensive is it that people want to tell you, you were once a monkey? Screw that nonsense. Darwin? Gone! Nothing but straight creation theory on-line from now on, less someone get offended by the ideas of that hippy Darwin! We can’t let the internet pollute the minds of our children… They’d be victims!

FBI says Constitutional ideas and people who demand the government respect and obey those Constitutional rights are “domestic terrorists!” Well hell, we can’t have that! After all it’s the FBI. When are those people ever wrong? I don’t want to aid terrorists and become a victim. Better get rid of all that crap about freedom of speech, right of journalistic expression and what not too. Clearly, that is the most dangerous ideal and principle of all! Better censor that noise asap!!!

The more childish of our American citizenry feels they have need to be protected and kept safe by censorship. These mental infants believe information is dangerous, people are unable to filter and censor the crap from the important in their own heads anymore, and so they are demanding others to do it for them and therefore us. Thanks guys, you are the best!!! What’s worse is our so called leaders and elected officials aren’t going to lift a finger to stop this, and in fact are encouraging it.

The internet as is is far too democratic for your average American politician, because they can not control the dialogue. Tidy, little boxes they can fit voters and the things that matter to voters into, and they can then vilify opponents with for being for or against. The internet in large part has the ability to do away with a lot of that, and so they give us tails of Russian intrusions via on-line swaying large portions of the populace to vote one way or another. Therefore, censorship must be imposed on the only truly democratic platform available… The internet!

At any rate, there used to be a great and often stated American saying taught to all in order to help all understand the values of this once great nation of ours. That great saying is simply. “While I disagree with what you are saying, I will defend to the death your right to say it!” Short, sweet, and a slogan that keeps it all in perspective. It is that slogan and its practice in great Americanisms that inspired a Jewish lawyer in the 1970’s to go to court to defend the rights of Neo-Nazis to hold their rally in a town who understandably didn’t want a bunch of douchebag jackboot wearing assholes marching through their town.

It was tolerance that Americans practiced then, which finally allowed them to march, and secured for all other Americans the promise that their right to express themselves publicly would not be hampered or attacked. That is wouldn’t be attacked apparently until this generation, 30-40 years later, which has decided to take their own lessons from history and put those ideas into practice. It’s just too bad that what this generation has learned from the Nazi’s is unfortunately how to implement the Nazi’s tactics on mas. Censorship being an old Nazi tactic, isn’t that right Gerbles? It doesn’t matter whose standards they are, the only way to remain and keep us all free is literally to have NO STANDARDS when it comes to what people may find online. It’s like an whole generation of now adults were not made to read “Animal Farm” in school. Dummies!

If people want to post it, and people want to seek it out. Oh well? That doesn’t mean that you must look at it or be bothered by the fact it exists. Most importantly of all, is the idea that Google should not in any way shape or form be the one determining what is or is not offensive or evil based on their own standards! Which is why the title of this article is “So Much for Not Being Evil, because it’s Google and it’s censorship which is actually victimizing us all!”
